Yamagama
"Mountain Kiln"
Index, WA

From June of 2016, until March of 2017, I had the great opportunity and honor of being Peter Olsen's intern at his forest studio in Index, WA.

Our crew of 7 fired his larger of two wood kilns on the property in late October. Yamagama holds about 90 cubic feet of ware, and this time we fired for 93 hours, including a 10 hour downfire.

Check out the whole story of the firing beautifully documented by Brad Curran, here.
