Conrad's Kiln Shed
Ferndale, CA

During my time at Humboldt State University, I had the privilege of taking part in a few firings at Conrad Calimpong's kiln in Ferndale, CA. Conrad's was the first wood kiln that I ever saw in action. The loving energy of community and creativity surrounding his kiln set a standard in my mind for what woodfiring was all about.
