Intimate Anagama VI w/Simon Levin
This summer I have the privilege of returning to Mill Creek Pottery in Gresham, WI to assist my mentor, Simon Levin, with his annual Intimate Anagama Workshop.
I'm so excited for this, I hope you'll consider joining us!
Here is the workshop description:
Designed to be worth every penny. Not only will participants have 10 cubic feet of their own work fired, the focus is on invaluable instruction and two fun weeks of hard work in beautiful rural Wisconsin. You, as a participant, will do the loading and firing of my 120 foot anagama kiln guided through every step. We provide the wood, glazes, slips, wadding and materials. A committed, kind staff of me and my apprentices will be available the whole workshop to answer questions and ensure students are understanding.
Our 6th year hosting this workshop and I feel like we have worked out most of the glitches. I love this workshop format, it is intense and relaxed, focused and rewarding. We all work in community to do one complex thing and students return home with a lot of knowledge and a lot of pottery to consider.

Teaching. Woodfiring. In. TUSCANY!
Join the powerful Elena Wendelyn and I for 2 weeks of technical growth, fire, fun, and delicious food at La Meridiana International School of Ceramics.
"In Feast & Flame we will explore how to elevate form with the use of minimal and maximal decoration and adornment, with the effects of atmospheric firing in mind. Elena will guide participants through a variety of surface decoration techniques including sgraffito, inlay, water-etching, image transfers, and adding sculptural elements to pots. Harry will cover techniques for throwing larger, making tall, sectional pots, pitchers, handles, altered forms, and brushwork decoration."
