This size and shape bowl has become one of my very favorites to eat from. Low, wide, contains a sizable helping. Could be pasta. Could be curry. Could be stir fry. Could be stew.
Choosing to glaze the interior and leave the rest raw was a conscious choice to help accentuate both the carved designs beneath the glaze, as well as the gorgeous clay color on the rim and underside. 3 of the larger flowers are accented with iron oxide stain to bring them to the front while the smaller flowers fade into the distance.
