Campin' Mug 11
14 fl. oz.
I am so excited by this entire batch of Campin' Mugs.
The idea for these mugs began on a camping trip in Montana. They are my answer to the classic enamel camping mug. The one that you've burned your hands on one hundred times while brewing your coffee in the backcountry. With the iconic straight walls and flared lip.
This batch is made with my woodfire porcelain clay body. They are all impressed with a rope to create the rhythmic diagonal texture that the ash loves to play with.
This one is covered in a luscious feldspathic glaze that paired so nicely with the ash. There are moments of "hairs fur" streaks where iron is present from some expressive brushwork.
