Campin' Mug 4
3.75" tall
14 fl. oz.
One-finger handle.
I am so excited by this entire batch of Campin' Mugs.
The idea for these mugs began on a camping trip in Montana. They are my answer to the classic enamel camping mug. The one that you've burned your hands on one hundred times while brewing your coffee in the backcountry. With the iconic straight walls and flared lip.
This batch is made with my woodfire porcelain clay body. They are all impressed with a rope to create the rhythmic diagonal texture that the ash loves to play with.
One of the few pots with a lovely pink blush in the heaviest area of ash coating. The expressive iron oxide brushwork is almost totally obscured by the ash and has manifested in some sweet dark variations in the ash surfaces. Deep greens and yellows drip down the diagonal rope textures.
Lined with a stony matte.
